Red Screen Display Tool
Open a 100% full red screen in fullscreen. Test red subpixel fidelity, inspect stuck pixels, preserve night vision for astronomy, or use as darkroom ambient lighting.
Red Subpixel Test
Isolates the red subpixel array on OLED, IPS, and VA matrices to check for defective or discolored individual diodes.
Night Vision Safe
Red light has the lowest impact on human rod photoreceptors, preserving dark adaptation during stargazing and astronomy sessions.
Color Gamut Purity
Check DCI-P3 and sRGB color saturation and verify there is no orange tint or magenta drift across viewing angles.
How to Test Monitors with a Red Screen
A full red screen sets the RGB buffer to exact values of (255, 0, 0). Because green and blue subpixels are completely powered down, any green or blue subpixel stuck in the ON state will appear as a noticeable off-color point (yellow or magenta).
