Dead Pixel Spotter

Permanently turned-off (dead) subpixels show up immediately as tiny black dots against pure white.

Uniformity & DSE

Inspect corner vignetting, dirty screen effect (DSE), and color temperature shifts across the entire display matrix.

Digital Lightbox & Tracing

Turn your tablet, iPad, or laptop into a bright digital tracing table for paper sketches, calligraphy, and negatives.

How to Test Your Screen With a Bright White Screen

A bright white screen activates all subpixels (Red, Green, and Blue at maximum 255 intensity). This makes it the standard benchmark for testing peak display brightness, detecting black dead pixels, and assessing panel color balance.

Key Diagnostic Checks:

  1. Dead Pixel Inspection: Scan from top-left to bottom-right. Any pixel that fails to illuminate will stand out as a dark speck.
  2. Dirty Screen Effect (DSE): Check if large white areas look patchy, cloudy, or banded, indicating uneven diffuser sheets.
  3. Corner Vignetting: Look at all four display corners to verify if brightness drops off significantly compared to the center.
